A MAN has been jailed for after being "caught red-handed” drug dealing in Sauchie.
Mohammed Malik, of Gower Street, Glasgow, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court.
The 41-year-old admitted that on December 21, 2021, at Hallpark, Sauchie, he was concerned in the supply of a controlled drug, herbal cannabis.
Sheriff Neil Bowie said the delays in the matter being dealt with at court was because Malik failed to appear for previous hearings.
The sheriff told Malik: “You’re a middle-aged man who went into the venture with his eyes wide open.
“You travelled from Glasgow to the Alloa area to engage in the supply of drugs for commercial gain.
“The consequences of drug-dealing on the community are well-known.”
He added that Malik had been “caught red-handed” with 110 bags of drugs with a value of £2,500.
Sheriff Bowie then jailed Malik for 180 days.
