ALLOA Post Office will be closing for a period of almost four weeks in 2025, to allow for extensive refurbishment work to be carried out inside.
The branch, at 25 Drsydale Street, will close its doors from Tuesday, January 7 at 5pm for 24 days, reopening on Friday, January 31.
This is to allow for the inclusion of additional branch services, bringing Alloa Post Office in line with the company’s main style branches.
Extra services such as a comprehensive range of travel money, vehicle tax, local collect, change giving services for business banking customers, automated business deposited of more than £200 and Parcel Force Worldwide will be provided.
Open plan counters will also be provided at the Drysdale Branch.
Brian Turnbull, area change manager with the Post Office, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.
“The safety of our customers is paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it is necessary for the service to close temporarily.
