NO MORE deaths have been linked to coronavirus in Clackmannanshire last month, according to recent figures.

Data published by National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows no deaths were attributed to the virus locally last week (November 23-29).

This means the total number of deaths linked to Covid-19 in Clacks during November is still five.

Overall, the total number of deaths linked to coronavirus in the area is 53.

NRS’ data, published on Wednesday, December 2, covers the period from December 30, 2019, until November 29, 2020.

An NRS report, published alongside the data, said: "Deaths involving Covid-19 are defined as those where Covid-19 is mentioned on the death certificate, either as the underlying cause of death or as a contributory cause.

"Figures include deaths where 'suspected' or 'probable' Covid-19 appears on the death certificate."
