Stirling Farmers’ Market returns this Saturday with a French pastry chef the latest addition to the popular event.

From 10am till 4pm the 17 stallholders will be showcasing some of Scotland’s finest produce on Port Street.

Amongst the Stirling regulars will be new trader Nicole Bezanger of Nini’s Pastries. As a qualified French pastry chef, Nicole fuses her continental background with her Scottish home to bake a sumptuous array of cakes and pastries ranging from traditional French brioche and bourdaloue through to millionaires shortbread and Victoria sponges.

Also making a welcome return to Port Street will be Gordon Caldwell with his homegrown vegetables. Being a small producer means that Gordon isn’t able to attend every market so be sure to take the chance to stop by his stall this month.

Other stallholders this month will be showcasing an extensive range of fish & shell fish; preserves & chutneys; fruit wines and honey meads; pork & bacon; Cheeses from Arran and Comrie; authentic Lebanese deli products; highland beef; free range hens’ & ducks’ eggs; artisan breads & bakery products; sausage rolls; and handmade fudge & tablet.

The market will also feature a small selection of handmade crafts including luxurious soaps and antler & horn products.

Stirling Farmers’ Market is held on Port Street, Stirling on the second Saturday of every month between 10am & 4pm.
