THE Thistles in Stirling has announced a pop-up cinema and a community hub named The Snug will be launching in the centre.

The exciting new attraction, presented in partnership with Macrobert Arts Centre, will see the former Quiz unit, located between Oasis and Barrhead Travel, transformed into a must-visit destination for Christmas.

Shoppers who spend £10 in Thistles at any store or who have bought a Thistles Gift Card and keep a copy of their receipt, between November 1 and December 14, will be able to enjoy a festive-themed film screening free of charge.

The cinema has picked a handful of family films on the following dates:

23rd November – The Grinch

30th November – Home Alone

1st December – Polar Express

7th December – Elf

8th December – It’s a Wonderful Life

14th December – It’s a Wonderful Life

To redeem their free place, customers should simply visit thistlesstirling.com and book the showing of their choice.

Showings will be at 11am or 2pm and will be on a first come, first served basis.

Outwith the film screenings, the unit will transform into The Snug; a relaxation area with a range of attractions including a book swap club, gift wrapping by local charity and community groups, interactive workshops, choir performances and games.

Gary Turnbull, centre director at Thistles, Stirling, said: “We are excited to be partnering with our friends at Macrobert Arts Centre on this new pop-up cinema.

"The screenings of these most loved Christmas classics are sure to bring added festive cheer to Thistles over the coming weeks.

"

What’s more, The Snug will provide a welcome and relaxing area with plenty of attractions and entertainment, and we look forward to welcoming everyone.

Kathryn Welch, operations director at Macrobert Arts Centre, added: “We are delighted for Macrobert Arts Centre to be bringing a Christmas film programme to Thistles this year. Christmas is always full-to-bursting here at Macrobert, with Panto and a live show for

younger children, as well as our handmade exhibition and a full festive film programme.
