A GIN liqueur has been launched on the market by Stirling Distillery, just in time for the summer.

Tropical Triumph is the latest product to come from the nearby distillery and is the brainchild of business student Elle McCann.

The 21-year-old returned home for lockdown and was looking for a project to get her teeth into for the family business.

The result is a fruity liqueur with a smooth and refreshing finish.

Cameron McCann, co-owner at the distillery, said: "It's reminiscent of warm Caribbean breezes, with bursts of fleshy tropical fruits on the nose and hints of juniper and fresh citrus underneath."

The distillery suggests customers serve the drink over ice with Mediterranean tonic, in a delicious cocktail or as a dash in their favourite fizz.

Elle said: "Part of my project involved running a competition on social media to design a label, the level of entries was extremely high, however, one design really stood out for us by graphic designer Mark Karwowski.

"Mark's design truly represents the delicious spirit that lies within."

Stirling Distillery is set to celebrate its first birthday next month, when another product is set to launch to mark the occasion.

June McCann, co-owner, added: "We are so fortunate to be able to trade through the crisis with the production of hand sanitiser and our online sales have soared being up by over 400 per cent whilst enjoying another surge with the new liqueur."
