A KEEN hillwalker form Bannockburn has been traced safe and well by police following a public appeal.
Paul Cairney was reported missing at the end of July and was believed to have been camping in the Highlands and Islands area.
Police in the Forth Valley today (Friday, August 7) confirmed in a social media post the 59-year-old has been found and is well.
The post said: “We're pleased to confirm that missing 59-year-old Paul Cairney from Bannockburn has now been traced safe and well in the Highlands and Islands area.
“Thank you to those who shared our previous appeals for information.”
The original appeal came as Paul was last seen outside his home on The Brae on Wednesday, July 15, and was reported missing as concerns for his whereabouts were increasing.
