A JUNIOR health and fitness programme has been launched for juniors under the age of 16 in Stirling.

Active Stirling is looking to ensure junior members can enjoy a variety of different activities as part of their all inclusive monthly membership at The PEAK, that allows them to take part in fitness classes, workout in the gym, swimming, ice skating, climbing and play sports in the sports hall.

There is also an option to take part in activities in a pay as you go basis for those not yet ready to take out a membership.

The vision is to encourage as many people as possible within the Stirling community to get involved in sport and physical activity and enjoy many benefits of exercising that comes with it.

Active Stirling’s under 16s health and fitness programme provides opportunities for children age 4-15 years to take part in group fitness classes, such as Aquacise, Cardio dance, Circuits, Dynamic yoga, Chair yoga, Gentle yoga, Pilates, Legs, bums and tums, Velocity, Velocity blast, Gym circuits and new PEAK strength classes.

All classes are led and supervised by Active Stirling’s highly qualified and experienced instructors and Les Mils virtual instructors.

Ryan Conlon, group fitness and training manager, said: “Our new under16s health and fitness programme brings many opportunities for juniors to try new activities.

“Learning and teaching junior members the importance of being active, is what we strive to do.

“It’s key that junior members know how to perform and use resistance exercises safely to prevent any injuries and that’s why our experience Instructors will teach them the correct techniques, help them achieve their fitness goals, burn energy, and most importantly enjoy and have fun.”
