THEY’RE at it again – musicians from all over Scotland are continuing to release another terrific tune after another.

The Snuts may take a lot the focus today with their new single ­– already topping the charts – but there are so many flying acts flying under the radar that should be celebrated.

That said, it should come as no surprise to see the bands below topping charts in the near future.

The Capollos – Electrify
It’s been a while since the Granite City lads released some new material and it was absolutely worth the wait

Wrest – Blood
Following up from A Perfectly Spherical World, the pensive four-piece are back with a bang.

One-line review: “A rich and expansive arena-rock anthem.”
FFO: Foreignfox, The Twilight Sad, Snow Patrol.


Be Charlotte – Burning (from Dreaming with the Lights Off EP)
The EP is finally here, with Burning arguable the stand-out track along with the Dundee singer's latest release Lights Off.

One-line review: “Anthemic masterpiece – moving, thoughtful and infectious.”
FFO: Hannah Slavin, stmartiins, Lennon Stella.


Joshua Grant – Edinburgh
There is no place like home for the teen, who is already shooting up the charts with this number. Has its roots in New York City.

One-line review: “A poignant tale of growing up in the city.”

The Rah’s – The Time is Now
A fresh start for the Prestonpans four-piece, launched in emphatic fashion.

One-line review: “A raw indie rock bruiser, laden with defiance.”

Tamzene – Unreachable
With raw talent in spades and a spectacular voice, Tamzene unveils her fourth release of the year.

Beta Waves – I Had You Wrong
Staying true to their vow to release new material every month, the Tayside duo return with their third single of 2020.

Angelica Mode – Your Love is All the Rage
The product of an interesting project from songwriter Brian Hughes and well worth a listen.
