LEITH'S own Felix and the Sunsets will unveil their latest track this week, having taken inspiration from the Black Lives Matter movement over the past year.

Self-described as an alternative/garage-rock/neo-psychedelic rock group, they have released a number of singles over the last two years, most recently with El Cubano in 2020.

Their newest effort, This Will Change, will be served up on Friday, January 8, as the lead single from their upcoming EP.

Using a Latin Samba rhythm, Afro-Caribbean percussion, fingerpicking guitar, Santana-style lead work and vocal harmonies, the track was inspired by the killing of George Floyd and the ensuing Black Lives Matter protests against systemic racism.

All proceeds from the sale of the track are going to Intercultural Youth Scotland, a charity providing specialist support to young people who face barriers to success.

Felix and the Sunsets will follow up the single with a new four-track EP on the February 26 this year, with each individual track released on streaming services in January, February, March and April.
