THE Mason Hill pre-album teasers continue to drop with the release of the band's latest track DNA.

Complete with a slick new video, the single is the fourth track to be taken from the band's upcoming debut album Against the Wall - a record that was five years in the making.

DNA features a healthy dose of NWOCR, soaring vocals and some southern rock-infused licks thrown in. Fans of Those Damn Crows, Shinedown and Black Stone Cherry will feel right at home.

Scott Taylor, Mason Hill's lead singer, said: “DNA is a bit of a demented rock song about being hooked on something to the point where it almost feels like it’s part of your very fabric hence the reference to feeling like part of your DNA.

"We tried to bring a little of that manic attitude to the video which was, however, an incredibly painful video to make, physically.

"We all had to wear crazy contact lenses and get bombarded with UV light to enhance our performance and, boy, did it burn our eyes. We really suffered for our art on this one, but we’re really pleased with the way it turned out even if we wouldn’t want to go through that searing pain again.”

The new track follows on from Find My Way and the single Against the Wall - both released in 2020, amassing around 350,000 streams on Spotify already.

Hold On, from 2018, will also feature on the album.

DNA was also one of the stand-out tracks that were showcased when the band sold out King Tut's in Glasgow in October 2019.

The album Against the Wall will be released on March 5.
