LA CLUB ROYALE are primed and raring to go.

The duo – Connor Adam and Lyle Kennedy – have already started to create a buzz online, despite not having a single release to their name... yet.

Next month the curtain will be pulled back as the pair release their debut track Rise Up.

The former Ranzas members are moving into new territory with LCR as they look to create some "upbeat electronic dance tracks".

Adam and Kennedy are also on the look out for other artists to collaborate with in the future.

With the debut on the horizon, singer Lyle gave The Weekender an insight into the project.

La Club Royale come from... Ayrshire in the West of Scotland. We found the name La Royale reading an article on the Internet which is the nickname for the French navy, we put Club in the name to make it sound cooler and the name La Club Royale really stuck with us.

La Club Royale sound like... very electronic-sounding, synth-based songs. The project is at the early stages, but we are enjoying experimenting with new sounds and creating a lot of upbeat electro tunes. We have our debut single Rise Up coming out on Friday, March 5, where you will be able to get a taste of what we are about, go pre-save, available on all major music streams.

La Club Royale like to be compared to... No one, really. We just want to be recognised in our own right, we are inspired by all different types of acts and genres of music. We are heavily influenced by New Order which would be a compliment to be compared to them.

La Club Royale don't like to be compared to... Chicken Royales. We're not chicken burgers and Chicken Royales are not us. Unless Burger King would like to invest big bucks in us then we draw the line with the comparisons there.

The proudest moment for La Club Royale so far is... The work, time and effort we have put in to get our debut single 'Rise Up' completed and ready for the launch date.

The next time you hear La Club Royale it will be... Hopefully, for Rise Up to be in the charts and for us to be in the headlines for having a very successful debut single. If gigs are back soon then you'll probably hear us gigging non stop at a town or city near you and hope you will be there showing your support.

This year, La Club Royale will... be releasing a few singles and a possible EP and again if gigs are back then we will be gigging. We have a lot planned so give us a follow on our socials, like and share our stuff, follow us on our journey because it's going to be different gravy,

The most important thing about La Club Royale is... The music and our fans are definitely the most important things about La Club Royale. Without these we are just two Ayrshire boys in long stylish jackets and even though that's quite cool, it just isn't the same without the music and our fans.
