WITH Covid continuing to ravage the music industry, The Snuts have had to get creative to play a launch party for their upcoming debut album.

The Whitburn four-piece have been building towards the moment for the past few years.

They committed to a 2021 album launch date, now set for April 2, but live gigs are still likely to be a few months away.

However, instead of letting the occasion fly past, The Snuts have gone all-in.

They have rented Stirling Castle and will be airing a special performance for fans, playing the album in full, on March 26.

“In an effort to play our debut record back to back for our fans we decided to rent out a castle,” singer Jack Cochrane said. “And with a glimmer of hope on the horizon where live music is concerned, we wanted to make sure this was our grandest, most ambitious live stream show to date.”

The Snuts kickstarted the year with the release of Somebody Loves You in February.

They were given a budget to film a music video for the track, which they donated to the Scottish Refugee Council.

Those who had been supported by the organisation also feature in the video itself, talking about how the song made them feel.

Furthermore, the band's label Parlophone Records also donated the proceeds from single downloads to the same crucial organisation.

The band announced a UK tour for April-June this year, including three sold-out dream shows at The Barrowlands in Glasgow, from June 8-11.

They will also play a sold-out show at The Corn Exchange in Edinburgh on May 14.

Tickets for the Stirling Castle show are on sale now, with full tour details available online.
