THE SNUTS have dropped their sun-soaked video for Glasgow as their battle to claim the number one album spot intensifies.
The track is one of the fan favourites from their debut LP W.L. which was unveiled last week.
Shot by Forest of Black, the video features the band performing the track atop a Glasgow rooftop cut with a tour of the city in all its glory.
Frontman Jack Cochrane said: “Glasgow is such an important track for us. It is a love letter to one of the greatest cities in the world.
"For the video, we set up our instruments on the top of a building in the city centre and performed to the Glasgow skyline whilst our lyrics ‘I’ll always love the way that you say Glasgow’ were being projected onto one of the most iconic buildings in the city.”
He added: “W.L. is our lifetime work. It’s a collection of milestones and melodies that time stamp a dream we had becoming a reality.
“It’s a record about being true, loving and resilient.”
The band are currently locked in a battle with international pop star for the UK Official number one album spot.
If successful, they will be the first Scottish band since The View in 2007 to reach the top of the charts with their first record.
Meanwhile, the band also announced more shows in Glasgow, after their three-date run at the Barrowlands sold out.
They will play four unplugged sets (with strings) across two days at Oran Mor on September 1 and 2, along with acoustic gigs in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee and other parts of the UK.
Tickets for the acoustic shows are on sale now.
