THE FRATELLIS have been confirmed as the first headliner for this year's rescheduled Vibration Festival in Falkirk.

The Glasgow band will grace the stage in Callendar Park this September as the festival
returns after the hugely successful first year.

They are the first of many acts announced for the event - moved from 2020 due to the covid pandemic.

Vibration Festival returns after the event picked up two industry awards for its
inaugural year and will now be a two-day music festival on Friday and Saturday, September 3-4.

As well as a main stage with live music throughout the day from international acts,
the festival will also boast street performers, a breakthrough stage, an acoustic stage,
a DJ area and more.

More acts will be announced in the coming days as organisers - Polmont brothers David and Andy Ure - hope the Forth Valley community will embrace live events after a period of closures and cancellations.

Andy, 36, said: “After such a successful first event it was a hard pill to swallow not to get to come straight back with year two.

"However, we know it’s been such a hard time for everyone and this time has been something we’ve had to get through together.

"The return of the festival means the world to us. It's a chance for everyone to get together in a fun and safe environment and get back to enjoying themselves again.

"We wanted to deliver another really strong line-up and securing The Fratellis is a fantastic achievement.

“The full line up for Vibration Festival 2021 is now complete, we think we have something for everyone, from well-established bands everyone can sing along to, to
new emerging acts and even chilled acoustic sets.

"We hope the incredible support for Vibration Festival will continue and thank everyone for their patience in getting back to this point - it’s really is in the hands of the people to allow this to grow and become an annual event to be proud of.”

For little ones, there is music-making sessions, magicians, animal-handling workshops and free face-painting.
