DICTATOR will return this week with a fiery and pained new single.

The West Lothian quartet will unveil Hide and Seek on Friday, following up on Moonlight released in February this year.

An enchanting and expressive track, it dips and swells with deliberate intensity – aching under an immeasurable weight.

The vocals from singer Michael Campbell soar in waves, as it is clear there is a lot at stake on this song.

While there are some similarities to the band's earlier work, it is, in large, an intriguing directional shift. The dreamy soundscapes are rich and provide a welcoming bedfellow for the wandering melodies.

Dictator also announced pre-ordering was available with the band backing Women's Aid following the outpouring of experiences from so many women.

In a public post, the band said: "We hope to use the power of social media to start a small, important campaign for pre-ordering to raise money for an important subject.

"We've decided to donate all proceeds from digital downloads to Women's Aid after being touched and shocked with the stories that women were brave enough to share in the aftermath of Sarah Everard."
