DUNDEE singer-songwriter Rachael Bisset is preparing to release her latest single this week.

If It’s Too Soon, Let Me Know tells the tale of unexpected love and personal growth.

With its foundation built on some upbeat guitar phrasing, the track is personified by Bisset's soaring vocals and moving melody.

Bisset told The Weekender: "The song is really about realising how fast it was to 'fall' for someone who came into my life unexpectedly.

"Yes, this is a love song but it is also a reflection on previous experiences and growth in this area and acknowledging this going forward in a relationship.

"I believe that in any relationship/friendship there will always be positives even if the outcome isn’t always positive as not only yourself but the other person learns and grows regardless.

"So, yes, this is the theme: to live in the moment and appreciate the present as these moments can flash before your eyes.

"I hope that when people listen to this track that they feel the euphoria of falling in love and brings good memories or nostalgic moments into others' lives."

Last month, the singer teased another announcement to come in the coming weeks.

While she was keeping her cards close to her chest, she did tell The Weekender it would involved a collaboration.

She said: "The big announcement is still to come; however, I can say that I have be so lucky to have worked with a producer on a dance track that has been signed to a label and is still to be released.

"So, I am very excited to officially announce this once I have more information from the label around the release of this new track that is still to come."

If It’s Too Soon, Let Me Know will be released on Friday, June 4
