FOOTBALL was the game and Fun Fours was the name as 564 primary school pupils turned out at Lornshill Academy for action-packed festivals.
The students from primary four and five put on a great display of skills and sportsmanship in the four-a-side football format, being creative and expressing themselves, while having fun playing against their neighbouring schools.
The largest festival was the Girls Only Fun Fours Festival as more than 200 youngsters attended, with Lornshill Academy's Girls School of Football pupils providing refereeing and coaching support on the day.
The council praised the impact of the festival and said it acted as a great way to highlight the importance of girls' participation in football and sport in general, whether playing or coaching.
