ALLOA ran out 2-1 winners against Albion Rovers in a pre-season friendly recently.

Among the big performers was debut youngster Cameron O'Donnell who shone in midfielder along with new signing Andy Stirling.

Neil Parry (off 65)...........7

A couple of excellent stops, most notably when he bravely blocked a dangerous

Jon Robertson (off 74).........6

Wearing the number two as he slotted into what most agree is his new natural position. Worked hard.

Liam Dick..........................6

Lung bursting runs down the wing were a constant threat. A couple of dangers balls into the box.

Andy Graham....................6

The skipper is still struggling with a couple of niggles but looked solid. Agonisingly close to clearing the goal.

Scott Taggart...............6

Like Robertson, he seems to have found his new home. Solid.

Cameron O’Donnell (Star Man) (off 74).....7

The youngster is highly rated inside the Recs and it was easy to see why. Composed on the ball and intelligent off it, there Wasps may have discovered a gem.

Kevin Cawley (off 60)..............6

The winger was involved in most of Alloa’s better moves in the first half as he helped to drive the team forward.

Adam Brown.....................6

A bit of an unsung hero in the squad last season, Brown may get more chances to shine and he knitted the play together expertly.

Liam Buchanan (off 60)...........6

Neat ball put it on a plate for Andy Stirling to open the scoring and otherwise he tested Ryan Goodfellow with a dangerous drive.

Alan Trouten (off 80).............6

Some lovely touches in the final third helped link the play, but didn’t really get any scoring chances of his own.

Andy Stirling......................7

Excellent goal to open his Alloa account as he carried the ball the best part of thirty yards before firing home.
