Celtic striker Jonathan Afolabi spent the second half of last season on loan with Dunfermline
CELTIC youngster Jonathan Afolabi is closing in on a season-long loan move to Dundee, according to reports.
The Irish striker spent the second half of last season on loan at East End Park, scoring twice and grabbing one assist in six appearances for the Pars.
But with Odsonne Edouard, Albian Ajeti, Patryk Klimala and Leigh Griffiths all ahead of Afolabi in the pecking order at Parkhead, the 20-year-old is expected to seal a loan move elsewhere in the coming days.
According to the Daily Record, James McPake's Dundee are front of the queue to secure the striker's signature ahead of their campaign beginning when the League Cup group stages kick-off next month.
