FORMER Rangers man Harry Forrester has opened up about his spell at Rangers, calling the move “life changing”.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, the attacking midfielder revealed he is now enjoying some of the best football of his career in the USA. Forrester plays for Orange County alongside former Gers man Rob Kiernan.

Despite eventually falling out of favour at Ibrox, Forrester was arguably one of Mark Warburton’s better signings but was deemed surplus to requirments after Warburton departed from Glasgow. And he admits it was a career highlight to turn out for the Ibrox club.
He said: "You've got to have thick skin up there. I loved my time there. I didn't like how it ended but that happens when a new manager comes in.
"The fans really took to me which I'll always appreciate. When you do well there you feel like a king in the city but on the flip side, it isn't nice when you aren't doing well. Beating Celtic when we were in the league below them was the highlight.
"It just doesn't get any bigger than the Old Firm and that toughened me up. I keep in touch with Mark [Warburton], he's got a real eye for talent, he brought in Tav [James Tavernier] and he's still the captain at Rangers."
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
