STEVEN GERRARD has warned Rangers they will have to be at their defensive best to stifle the attacking threat of Lech Poznan.
The Poles make the trip to Ibrox on the back of a 4-2 defeat in their Group D opener with Benfica last week.
Rangers could take a strong position in the section if they can build on the win over Standard Liege but Gerrard knows the tough task that lies ahead.
He said: "It was a very open game. Poznan were in it for long periods, it was only taken away from them in the final stages of injury time.
"I’ve watched that game extremely closely. Poznan had chances in the game and there could have been more goals.
"It was very similar to watching a game of basketball where it was attack on end then attack the other.
"There were two excellent sides on show.
"But in our gameplan it’s very important we stop counter attacks, that we are very organised and have a good shape.
"Because if we don’t defend properly or are not aggressive without the ball, they are certainly a team that can hurt you."
