TONIGHT’S SPFL Championship match will be shown on BBC iPlayer following official protocol after the death of the Duke of Edinburgh.

Hearts host Alloa Athletic at Tynecastle tonight and the match was scheduled to appear on BBC Scotland.

However, following the death of Prince Philip earlier today, all scheduled programmes on the BBC have been cancelled due to Operation Forth Bridge.

Hearts’ official Twitter account confirmed the news, tweeting: “Folks, we've now had confirmation that tonight's match will be shown live on BBC iPlayer and on the BBC Sport Scotland website, as well as to season ticket holders and international subscribers on Hearts TV.”

The match tonight is a must win for Alloa, who are seven points adrift at the bottom of the Championship table.
