THREE more Alloa departures were confirmed over the weekend as the club continues its search for a new manager.

After the club's relegation to League One was confirmed and the season finished, Liam Buchanan became the first player to depart the club, returning to Cowdenbeath, his first club.

Over the weekend, three more departures were confirmed. Adam Brown and Robert Thomson have both joined Stenhousemuir while Ray Grant has signed for Stirling Albion.

Thomson began the season well for Alloa, scoring in their first three matches in the Betfred Cup. He went on to score six goals in total, level with Buchanan and loanee Innes Cameron.

Thomson's game time had been limited throughout the season and he barely featured following the signing of Cameron.

Brown was another who struggled for minutes for the club this past season, as former manager Peter Grant stuck with a familiar side throughout the campaign. Brown appeared mostly from the substitute's bench and never got a run in the team.

Grant came into the team from Clyde last summer and immediately found a place in the midfield alongside Steven Hetherington, becoming a mainstay of the team and featuring in the majority of games, including 24 starts in the league.

With just over two months until the first league game of the season, the club are still without a manager and have made no new signings.

Voting is now open for Alloa's end-of-season awards. The three categories are Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season and Goal of the season.

Voting is open until 5pm this Friday, May 21.
