SAUCHIE JUNIORS manager Fraser Duncan was delighted to see his side pick up three points on Saturday as their purple patch continues.
The Reds defeated Newtongrange 3-1 to move to 10th in the league.
Duncan said: "It's always a difficult place to play away to Newtongrange.
"We knew it was going to be a difficult game and we set up very offensive, we pushed a lot of guys forward and we lined up with a 3-4-3 formation.
"We kept the ball really well and had loads of attacking options which was good for us."
Duncan continued: "It was a great result; it's a great three points, and a good performance.
"We've put a good run of form together, we've just got to keep results going now."
A break from league duty this Saturday will see Sauchie host Troon in the Challenge Cup.
Duncan continued: "It's an important game for us, we want to do well.
"We still want to be in these cups come April because that's when it gets to the business end of it."
