SAUCHIE JUNIORS will face Gala Fairydean Rovers in the first round of the Scottish Cup.
Fraser Duncan’s side defeated St Andrews United 4-2 on Saturday in the preliminary round of the cup to set up the away trip to Galashiels.
The tie will be played on Saturday, September 17.
Last season Sauchie made history by competing in the competition for the first time in their history.
After defeating Fraserburgh 2-1 in the first round the Reds bowed out at the second round after losing 3-1 to Dumbarton, who were playing in League One at the time.
Fraser Duncan, manager of Sauchie Juniors, told Advertiser Sport: “It’s a difficult one. You want a team in your league or around about your league but that doesn’t happen when it comes to these competitions.
“Everyone’s in it at this stage. We’d have preferred a home draw of course but it’s an experience for us. We’ll go for it, we’ll not be going there to defend.
“We’ll be going there to win the tie.”
Meanwhile, Alloa will host Airdrieonians in the third round of the SPFL Trust Trophy.
That tie will be played on Saturday, September 24.
