THE Alloa Athletic women's team kickstarted their season in emphatic fashion with a 5-0 win over Athena Glasgow.
A brace for both Amy Cully and Cree Connel, as well as a strike for skipper Abbie Trotter, did all the damage as Allan Salvona's side took all three points.
Speaking to Advertiser Sport after the game, the gaffer was delighted to see the training ground work paying off on the pitch.
Cully, who was a constant threat for Alloa, also feels her side have more to come once they are up to full speed and with new signings settled in.
Next up for the Wasps is a visit from Cumbernauld Colts who are in their first season.
The game takes place at the Indodrill on Sunday, January 22.
