ALLOA ATHLETIC Women FC have appointed Allan Milne as their new permanent manager.

Milne was revealed as the new Wasps gaffer on Tuesday, January 16, replacing Charles Dignan, who left the club in December.

The new gaffer currently works as a Rangers Soccer Academy and Charity Foundation coach while also taking the lead in developing an academy programme with Whitehill Secondary School.

He comes to Alloa with a wealth of experience in the women's game, having spent three years at Stenhousemuir WFC and another three years at Glasgow University Women's team as head coach.

A statement from Alloa Athletic said: "We're pleased to announce the new manager of the Alloa Athletic Women FC, Allan Milne.

"We're sure Allan is the right person to continue the good progress in building the team.

"He takes over as the Alloa Athletic Women are undefeated in the league from the opening half of the season, six points off from the league leaders in fourth in the Biffa SWFL.

"Best of luck to Allan and the Women in the second half of the season."
