SCOTT TAGGART believes Alloa can “take a result off anyone” as they prepare for their SPFL Trust Trophy tie against Partick Thistle.
The Wasps make the trip to Firhill this Saturday, September 7 as they enter the competition at the third round.
Drawn against the Championship side, Alloa will be looking to cause an upset and progress to the next round.
Andy Graham’s side has the full backing of Wasps captain Taggart, who was asked about preparations for this Saturday during the Alloa Athletic Season Ticket Holder Q&A session on Thursday evening.
“There’s no better game to go into than this one,” Taggart said. “The pitch is good, the weather will be good.”
“We get to go there and show everyone how good we are and we won’t have as much pressure as they’ll have on them.
“They’ll be expecting themselves to win but within our changing room, we know that if we can perform on the day, we can take a result off anyone.
“We’ll just go there with the confidence we’ve had all season, we’ll have a gameplan to win and fingers crossed everyone plays to their potential and we make it through to the next round.”
